米市場調査会社ガートナーが8日発表した2012年7－9月期のパソコン販売統計によると、西欧での出荷台数は136万台となり、前年同期から15.4％減少した。主要国ではドイツが19％減、フランスが7.7％減、英国が7.2％減だった。
