トラック世界最大手の独Daimlerは11日、子会社の三菱ふそうが実施する第3者割当増資を引き受け、出資比率を85％から89.29％に引き上げると発表した。商用車市場が世界的に回復していることを受け、三菱ふそうの事業拡大を資金面から支える考えで、新たに300億円（約2億7,100万ユーロ）を出資する。Daimlerが中国やインドのトラックメーカーの急速な追い上げを受けていることも背景にある。
