自動車大手の独Daimlerと仏Renaultが電気自動車分野で役割を分担する。Daimlerのトーマス・ヴェーバー開発担当取締役が地方紙『シュツットガルター・ツァイツぅング』に明らかにしたもので、同社はバッテリーを、Renaultは電動モーターをそれぞれ生産する。これらの部品はダイムラーの「Smart」とRenaultの「Twingo」に搭載される。
