三菱自動車は11日、同社とスイスの販社MM Automobile Schweiz AG、スイスの大手電力会社Alpiq Holding AGの3社が新世代電気自動車「i-MiEV（アイ・ミーブ）」の普及とそれに必要なインフラ整備促進に向けて覚書（MOU）を締結したと発表した。日本で開発された急速充電器を含む電気自動車の総合的な実用性をスイス国内で確認していく。i-MiEVは現在開催中のジュネーブ国際自動車ショーで、エコカー試乗会（グリーン・パビリオン内）の試乗車両として使われている。
