スイスの製薬大手Novartisは5日、新薬開発を2件、中止すると発表した。対象となるのはC型肝炎治療薬「Albinterferon alfa-2b」と抗真菌剤「Mycograb」で、開発中止に伴い2010年第3四半期に約5億9,000万ドルの損失を計上する。臨床試験の結果や認可当局の判断が思わしくないことに対応した。排尿障害治療薬「Enablex」の権利売却に伴い第4四半期に3億9000万ドルの収入が入るため、2010年通期決算への影響は緩和される見通しという。
