フィンランドのクレーン製造大手Konecranesは21日の決算発表会で、独同業Demag Cranesの買収を事実上、断念することを明らかにした。Demag側が買収受け入れを拒否しているうえ、買収計画が明らかになったことでDemag株が高騰したため、株式公開買い付け（TOB）が成立する余地がほとんどなくなったと判断した。今後は自力成長を通して事業の拡大を推し進めていく。
