独技術監査大手のテュフズードは電気自動車（EV）用電池の試験サービスを世界規模で展開する予定。2012年に中国と韓国に高電圧電池の試験施設を設けるほか、西欧にも新たな試験施設の開設を計画している。同社は現在、北米、カナダ、シンガポールに試験施設を持ち、ドイツではバイエルン州のガーヒングに建設中の試験施設を年内に開設する予定。同社の試験施設では安全性や衝突テストのほか、利用者の誤操作・不正修理などでどのようなリスクが生じるかも検査する。
