仏自動車大手のルノー はアルジェリアに工場を建設するもようだ。消息筋が4月27日、ロイター通信に明らかにした。5月初めにも合意書に署名する予定という。ルノーはアルジェリアの隣国モロッコに建設した工場を2月に稼働させたばかりだが、貿易規制により、モロッコで生産した車両はアルジェリアに輸出できないという。
