高級車大手の独BMWが5日発表した2014年4~6月期(第2四半期)の最終利益は17億7,100万ユーロとなり、前年同期から27.2%増加した。ユーロ高が逆風になったものの、中国、米国市場で利幅の大きい高馬力車、特別仕様車の販売が伸び、収益を押し上げた。
主力の自動車部門の売上高営業利益率(EBITベース)は前年同期の9.6%から11.7%に上昇。競合アウディ(同9.9%)、ダイムラーの乗用車部門(7.9%)を上回った。
