独自動車大手フォルクスワーゲン（VW）傘下の高級車メーカー、アウディ は7日、インドのアウランガーバード工場でミディアムサイズのSUV「Q5」の生産を開始した。「A4」「A6」に続く3番目の現地生産モデルとなる。アウディはQ5を年最大1,500台、生産する計画。これにより、今年のインド工場の生産規模は2,400台を超える見通し（2009年：732台）。アウディはインドで2007年9月から生産を開始した。インド工場の生産規模を2015年までに年6,000台に引き上げる計画。
