独鉄鋼業界団体Stahlは9日、2011年5月の国内粗鋼生産高が前年同月比1.1％増の411万6,000トンに拡大したと発表した。自動車、機械産業からの引き合いが強く、工場はほぼフル稼働状態にあるという。1～5月の累計は1,931万7,000トンで、前年同期を2.3％上回った。今後は夏季バカンスと高炉の保守点検作業の影響で生産高が一時的に落ち込む見通し。
