半導体大手のエルピーダメモリは20日、独競合インフィニオンテクノロジーズとの特許侵害訴訟で和解したと発表した。係争対象となっていたのはDRAMとDRAM製品に関する特許。和解の内容については「両者間での特許クロスライセンス」が含まれていると表現するにとどめ、詳細を明らかにしていない。今回の合意を受け、エルピーダは米バージニア州東部地区連邦裁判所に提訴していたインフィニオンへの訴訟を取り下げ、インフィニオンも米国際貿易委員会（ITC）に提訴していたエルピーダへの訴訟を取り下げる。
