独商用車大手のMAN は8日、欧州投資銀行（EIB）から3億ユーロの融資を受けることで合意したと発表した。資金は、EUの排ガス規制「ユーロ5」や「ユーロ6」に対応したエンジン、熱・エネルギーの回収システム、ハイブリッドトラック、軽量化などの研究開発プロジェクトに充てる。MANは今後4年間でこれらの環境技術に6億ユーロ以上を投じる計画。EIBによる今回の融資は、欧州交通セクターにおけるエネルギー効率の改善およびCO2排出量の削減に向けた研究・開発を支援するプログラムの一環。
