電機大手の独Siemensは6日、サウジアラビア国営石油会社Saudi Aramcoから発電機15基とガスタービン10基、蒸気タービン5基、排熱回収装置10基を受注したと発表した。取引金額は9億6,680万ドル。Saudi Aramcoは同国南西部のジーザーンに発電所を建設し、2016年春から操業を開始する。設備容量は4,000メガワット。
