オランダ化学大手のロイヤルDSMは12月21日、米バイオ企業のマーテック・バイオサイエンスを10億9,000万ドルで買収することで合意したと発表した。マーテックは乳児食など機能性食品の成分で知られるメーカー。ビタミン製造で世界最大手のDSMは、マーテック買収により食品成分事業を強化する。

DSMはマーテックを株式公開買い付け（TOB）により買収する。株式買い付け価格は1株あたり31.5ドル。マーテックの20日終値に35％を上乗せした水準となる。TOBは1月中旬に開始する予定だ。
