2011年4－6月期（第2四半期）決算の純利益は10億1,500万スイスフラン（約8億7,000万ユーロ）で、前年同期から49％減少した。ギリシャに端を発したユーロ圏の信用不安で有価証券取引業務が不調で、投資銀行部門が71％の減益となったことが響いた。これを受けてUBSは人員整理を行い、向こう2～3年で15億～20億スイスフランのコスト削減を図る。
