欧州航空機大手のAirbusは1日、中距離機「A320」の燃費を15％改善することを明らかにした。顧客や競合の圧力を受けた措置で、今後10億ユーロ以上を投資。エンジンと主翼を改良し、2016年から次世代機の納入を開始する。主翼は先端が上方に折り曲がっているのが特徴。エンジンにはPratt & Whitneyの「PurePower PW 100G」とCFM Internationalの「LEAP-X-Motor」を採用する。
