農業科学大手のBayer CropScienceは16日、遺伝子組み換え（GM）ライスの開発で同業のBASF Plant Scienceと提携すると発表した。BASFの技術を用いてBayerのハイブリッド米「Arize」からGM品種を開発。2020年の市場投入を目指す。販売はBayerが担当する。BayerはGM小麦の開発でイスラエル企業と提携したばかり。
