独高級車メーカー、アウディ のルパート・シュタートラー社長は16日、大型SUV車「Q7」の新モデルでは、現行モデルに比べて重量を370キログラム削減する方針を明らかにした。現行モデルは2トンを超えている。アウディはこれまで軽量化に向けた戦略としてアルミニウム部材に注力してきたが、今年2月には独機械メーカーのフォイトと繊維強化材料の開発・生産で協力すると発表し、新たな方向性も示している。
