独照明大手のオスラム は2日、有機発光ダイオード（OLED）を採用した自動車用照明器の開発計画（ロードマップ）を発表した。2014年に特別装備品として供給を開始し、2016年には量産品として新車に搭載される見通しという。OLEDは面としての照明デザインが可能なほか、透明なOLEDもあり、デザインの柔軟性が高まると説明している。
