米自動車大手のゼネラルモーターズ（GM） は5日、電気自動車のシボレー「ボルト」の車体を強化するとともに、バッテリーの冷却システムも改善したと発表した。同モデルが米国高速道路交通安全局（NHTSA）による衝突試験を受けた3週間後に発火事故を起こしたことに対応した措置。姉妹モデルのオペル「アンぺラ」にも同様の対策を施したうえで、出荷を開始するという。アンぺラは欧州でこれまでに6,500台を受注している。
