独フォルクスワーゲン（VW）傘下の高級車メーカーのアウディ は11日、5月の販売が約12万8,900台となり、前年同月に比べ13.7％増加したと発表した。5月の販売としては過去最高を記録したという。特に中国（香港を含む）は44.2％増の3万6,278台と好調だった。同社の1～5月の累計販売は12.1％増の60万200台に拡大した。同社は好調を受けて2012年通期の販売が140万台に達するとの見通しを明らかにした（2011年：130万2,659台）。
