オーストリアの自動車用ライトメーカー、ZKW はこのほど、LEDヘッドライトを開発した。寿命が長く、消費エネルギーが少ないうえ、メンテナンスの手間がほとんどかからない利点があるという。また、カーブや右左折の際に、ハンドルの操作角度に応じて配光調整するアダプティブ・フロントライティング・システム（ＡＦＳ）機能も付いている。同社が開発したLEDヘッドランプはさしあたり、高級乗用車に採用される見通し。
