伊自動車大手のフィアット は10日、米自動車大手クライスラーへの出資比率をこれまでの20％から25％に引き上げた。2009年に経営破たんしたクライスラーと資本・業務提携した際、低燃費エンジンの供給などを条件に出資比率を引き上げることができるオプションで米国政府と合意していた。フィアットのセルジオ・マルキオンネ最高経営責任者（CEO）は年初に、クライスラーが再上場を決めた場合、出資比率を50％超とする可能性もあると語っていた。
