スイス特殊化学大手のクラリアント は16日、ドイツの同業ズート・ケミーを買収すると発表した。同取引を通して製品の幅を広げるほか、ズート・ケミーが取り組んでいる電池部材やバイオエタノールなど新事業の開拓に向けた研究プロジェクトも傘下に収めることになる。カルテル当局の認可を得て、取引は成立する。ズート・ケミーは触媒や吸着剤などを生産。従業員数は約6,500人で、2010年の売上高は約12億ユーロとなったもよう。
