独高級車メーカーのBMW は2011年の世界全体の新規採用枠を当初の1,300人から2,000人に拡大する。販売好調を受けた措置で、そのうち約半数は国内で採用する予定。同社のノルベルト・ライトホーファー社長が独『フォーカス』誌に明らかにした。ただし、同社長は今後も契約社員を投入していく方針を強調。まだ経済危機以前の水準に回復していない自動車市場も多く、政治や景気動向にも不透明要素があるため、市場動向の変化に柔軟に対応できる生産体制を維持する必要がある、と理由を述べた。
