独産業用ロボット大手のクーカ（KUKA） は21日、2011年第4四半期に大手高級車メーカーからアルミニウム製の軽量車体部品を接合する精密装置を受注したと発表した。具体的な企業名は公表しておらず、受注規模も5,000万ユーロ前後とするにとどめた。フェンダーやエンジンフードなどの加工ラインに部品を固定したり接着したりするロボット125台が導入されるという。
