スペイン通信最大手のテレフォニカは5日、チェコ部門テレフォニカO2チェコの株式65.9％を同国の投資会社PPFグループに売却することで合意したと発表した。売却額は24億7,000万ユーロ。

テレフォニカO2チェコは国内最大の通信会社で、2012年の純利益は2億6,200万ユーロ。テレフォニカは債務圧縮のため、同社の経営権を手放す。今後も株式4.9％は保有する。PPFグループは「O2」ブランドを向こう4年間にわたって利用する権利を持つ。
