陶磁器・衛生タイル大手の独Villeroy & Bochはカルテル容疑に伴い欧州連合（EU）の欧州委員会から制裁金支払いを命じられたことを不服として異議申し立てを行った。フランク・ゲーリング社長は「談合を行ったことも顧客や消費者に被害を与えたこともない」断言。徹底的に争う意向を表明した。欧州委は6月、欧米の浴室設備メーカー17社が欧州市場でカルテルを結んでいたとして、16社に総額6億2,225万ユーロの制裁金支払いを命令。Villeroy & Bochは7,150万ユーロを通告された。
