製薬大手の独Boehringer Ingelheimは8日、女性用の性欲低下障害治療薬「Flibanserin」の開発を中止すると発表した。長期服用のリスクが不透明として米食品医薬品局（FDA）が7月に販売申請を却下したことを受けた措置。同社のアンドレアス・バルナー社長は「薬効があることは依然として確信しているが、米国で販売許可を得るのに必要な費用は大きすぎる」と開発断念の理由を説明した。
