独小売大手Tengelmannは13日、同社が38％出資する米老舗スーパーGreat Atlantic & Pacific（A&P）が連邦破産法11条に基づく会社更生手続きの適用を申請したと発表した。ここ数年赤字が続いていたところに金融・経済危機で個人消費が落ち込んだことが響いた。A&Pは米北東部で395店を運営し、年商は95億ドル。Tengelmannは欧州事業への依存度を引き下げる目的で1979年に資本参加した。連邦破産法11条の適用申請を受け、保有するA&P株を全額償却する。
