ドイツ連邦統計局（BA）が4日発表した2010年12月の失業者数は前月から8万5,000人増の301万6,000人となり、5カ月ぶりに拡大した。冬の寒波の影響で建設作業が滞ったことが響いた。景気の回復基調が続いているため、春が到来し気温が上昇すれば雇用は再び上向くとみられている。12月の失業率は7.2％で前月から0.2ポイント上昇した。

2010年通期の平均失業者数は324万4,000人で、1992年以来の低水準となった。BAによると、2011年は約300万人へとさらに減少する見通し。
