化学大手のWacker Chemieは14日、高純度多結晶シリコンの生産能力を2012年までに1万トン拡大すると発表した。計1億3,000万ユーロを投資。独ブルクハウゼン工場の生産能力を現在の3万2,000トンから3万7,000トンへと拡大し、建設中の独ニュンヒリッツ工場の生産能力も当初計画の1万トンから1万5,000トンに引き上げる。
