自動車大手Volkswagen（VW）グループは2011年1-3月期の新車販売台数でトヨタ自動車を上回ったもようだ。4月28日付の独『フランクフルター・アルゲマイネ』紙によると、震災被害の直撃を受けたトヨタが約190万台へと激減したのに対し、VWは前年同期比13.7％増の197万台へと拡大した。トヨタの生産体制が完全復旧するのは年末となる見通しのため、VWは2011年通期でもトヨタを上回る公算が高い。
