自動車大手の独Daimlerは超小型車ブランドSmartの電動アシスト付き自転車「smart ebike」を来年にも市場投入する意向だ。Smart事業を統括するアネッテ・ヴィンクラー氏が『フランクフルター・アルゲマイネ』紙のインタビューで明らかにした。特に欧州、北米、中東市場を念頭に置いている。販売のほか、都市部でのレンタルも行うとしている。smart ebikeは昨年秋のパリモーターショーで電動スクーター「smart e-scooter」とともに初公開された。
