ソフト大手の米Microsoftは10日、ルクセンブルクに本社を置くインターネット通話サービスのSkypeを買収すると発表した。買収金額は同社史上最高の85億ドル。ネット事業を強化し、検索大手グーグルなどの競合に対抗する狙いだ。Skypeはこれまで株式公開を予定していたが、計画を変更してMicrosoftの傘下に入る。
