鉄鋼系複合企業のThyssenkruppは13日、エレベーターの販売・保守サービスを手がける米General Elevator Sales and Service, Inc.（GESS）を買収すると発表した。鉄鋼に偏った事業構造を是正する戦略の一環。今回の買収により北米エレベーター市場での競争力を強化する。取引金額は明らかにしていない。
