化学大手の独BASFは8日、医薬品の製造に用いる触媒の生産施設をインド南西部の港湾都市マンガロールに建設すると発表した。急速に増加する現地の医薬品需要に対応する考えで、2013年第2四半期から操業を開始する。投資規模は非公開。同社は現在マンガロールで、自動車用塗料、製紙用薬品、建設化学品を製造している。
