自動車大手Daimlerのディーター・ツェッチェ社長は『シュトットガルター・ナハリヒテン』紙のインタビューで、実用段階に達した燃料電池車の投入を先延ばししている理由として、水素燃料スタンド網が整備されていないことを挙げた。この問題の解決に向けては他のメーカーと共同でスタンド網を構築していく考え。市場投入の時期はこれらのメーカーと調整するとしている。
