伊自動車大手のフィアット はジュネーブモーターショーで新型エンジン「ツインエア」を発表した。これは、ターボチャージャー付きの直列2気筒エンジンで、電子制御油圧バルブの採用により燃費を最大30％改善、二酸化炭素排出量は95グラム／kmに抑えた。同エンジンは今秋からフィアットの小型車「500」に搭載される予定。
