独化学大手のBASF は13日、米オハイオ州のエリリアに建設した正極材（カソード）工場を開設した。新工場では、ニッケル、コバルト、マンガン（NCM）を組み合わせた正極材を生産する。新工場は4階建てで面積は約6,500平方メートル。同工場では、約25人の新規雇用を見込んでいる。
