英国政府は7月31日、2月に発表した電気自動車の充電設備の普及促進に向けた助成予算3,700万ポンドについて、2回目の入札を実施すると発表した。自治体や公的機関、鉄道会社を対象に充電設備の導入費用の75％を支援する。締め切りは2013年10月30日。同助成金は、超低エミッション車の普及を促進するための4億ポンドの政府支援の一環として位置付けられる。
