独商用車・機械大手のMAN がこのほど発表した2009年12月通期決算の最終損益は2億5,800万ユーロの赤字となり、前年の黒字（12億4,700万ユーロ）から大幅に悪化した。販売不振のほか、出資先である同業スカニアの持ち株の評価損計上と贈賄事件にからむ罰金支払いが響いた。売上高は20％減の120億ユーロ。10－12月期は前年同期の黒字（1億7,700万ユーロ）に対して、4億7,200万ユーロの赤字だった。
