独化学大手BASFの塗料子会社BASFコーティングス は韓国の京畿道安山市にテクニカルセンターを開設する。同センターは2010年半ばに稼働する予定。主に、自動車向けに環境に優しい水性ベースの塗料技術を開発する。独業界紙『オートモビルボッヘ』（19日付、電子版）が報じた。
