ロンドン交通局（TfL）は6月28日、三菱自動車の電気自動車（EV）「i MiEV（アイミーブ）」4台を公用車として採用した。TfLは数年以内にEVを1,000台調達する計画。ロンドンのボリス・ジョンソン市長は、EVの導入に意欲的で、ロンドンを欧州最大のEV導入都市とすることを目指している。1年以内に充電ポイントを市内1,600カ所に設置し、2015年までに2万5,000カ所に増やす計画だ。「i MiEV」の調達費の一部は、政府の低炭素公共調達プログラムから賄われる。
