スウェーデン自動車大手のボルボ・カーズ は3月に開催されるジュネーブモーターショーで「V60」のプラグインディーゼルハイブリッド車を初公開する。発売は2012年を予定している。同モデルは、前輪に2.4リットルの5気筒ターボディーゼルエンジン（出力215馬力）、後輪には電気モーター（70馬力）を搭載。電気モーター単独で最大50kmを走行できる。リチウムイオン電池（12kWh）と6速自動変速機を装備し、走行100km当たりの燃費は1.9リットル、CO2排出量は49g／kmとなっている。
