米フィスカー・オートモーティブ は1日、独高級車メーカーのBMW から開発中の新モデル向けに4気筒ターボエンジンおよび関連部品の供給を受けることで合意したと発表した。同エンジンは「プロジェクト・ニーナ」と呼ばれる中型の高級セダンに搭載する予定。最大で年10万基のエンジン供給を受ける。同モデルは航続距離延長装置（レンジエクステンダー）を搭載した電気自動車となる予定で、2012年末から生産を開始し、2013年に発売する計画。
