米マイクロソフトは10日、ルクセンブルクに本社を置くインターネット通話サービス会社スカイプを買収すると発表した。買収金額は同社史上最高の85億ドル。ネット事業を強化し、検索大手グーグルなどの競合に対抗する狙いだ。スカイプはこれまで株式公開を予定していたが、計画を変更してマイクロソフトの傘下に入る。
