欧州自動車最大手のVolkswagen(VW）は米国販売台数を2013年までに09年の21万3,000台から40万台に拡大し、黒字転換を図る考えだ。同社の北米事業担当者がデトロイトモーターショーを前に明らかにした。2011年からは現在建設中の米国工場を稼働させて現地仕様車を年15万台生産。販売を加速させる。VWは当初、米国事業を09年に黒字化させる計画だったが、経済危機を受けて先延ばしを余儀なくされた。
