自動車大手の独BMWは2日、仏同業PSA Peugeot Citroenとの提携を強化すると発表した。これまで進めてきた小型車用エンジンの共同開発を次世代エンジンでも継続するほか、カーエンターテイメントなどの部品・システム分野でも提携を検討する。新たに共同開発するのは次期欧州排ガス基準「ユーロ6」に対応する4気筒ガソリンエンジン。2014年からの投入を予定している。
